Gear Up & Game On: Lineman Safety Challenge

Students will explore the world of electric utility linework by learning how personal protective equipment (PPE) impacts job performance. AndPower will display a bucket truck and guide students through two hands-on activities that demonstrate safety, coordination, and real-world job skills used by linemen.

Activity 1: Gloves, Sleeves & Toss with Ease: Students will put on PPE gloves and sleeves, then attempt to toss a small line bag into a cornhole board to experience how protective gear affects movement and accuracy.

Activity 2: Bolt Up with the Big Gloves: Students will wear PPE gloves and try to thread a nut onto a bolt, learning how linemen must perform technical tasks safely while wearing heavy-duty protective equipment.

Virtual Auto Simulator

By wearing specialized virtual reality glasses, immerse yourself in a hands-on environment where you get to connect different vehicle components and learning how automotive parts fit and function together.

Water Meter Assembly / Disassembly

Station 1: Get ready to roll up your sleeves! Here, you’ll race to put together and take apart a real water meter. The fastest and most accurate student will earn a Crawler Captain sticker!

Station 2: Bring your Crawler Captain sticker with you! At this station, sticker earners get the chance to drive the crawler while everyone else checks out how it works up close.

Crane & Rigging with CSE 

Get ready to see big machines in action! At this station, you’ll learn all about cranes, how they work, and the cool jobs in the crane and rigging industry.

Construction Equipment & Safety

you’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at how heavy equipment and tools are used in real life. You might try hands-on activities like tying off and walking a beam, helping with rigging, or securing loads safely on a trailer. You’ll also get to see and feel some of the bigger tools we use every day, like jackhammers and partner saws, to understand just how heavy and powerful they are.

Propane Truck
