Starting a new job is both exciting and a little overwhelming, especially when it means diving into a new community. When I joined Luper Team Mortgage, I knew I wanted to succeed in my role and genuinely become part of Lynchburg. Thankfully, the Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance and its Young Professionals of Central Virginia group helped me connect to Lynchburg.

From day one, the Alliance has been more than just a professional organization, it’s been a welcoming hub that encourages collaboration, connection, and growth. Through various events, business forums, and networking opportunities, I’ve had the chance to meet business owners, community leaders, and professionals from all walks of life.

But what’s made the biggest impact on me has been the Young Professionals group. This isn’t just a networking circle, it’s a community of motivated, like-minded individuals who are passionate about growing their careers and giving back. Whether it's monthly meetups, volunteer projects, workshops, or social events, I’ve found countless chances to learn from others and grow as both a professional and a person.

Being involved has helped me find my footing in Lynchburg faster than I ever expected. It’s allowed me to build great friendships, gain mentorship from others, and become more connected to the city I now call home. The support and opportunities within this group are great and it pushes you to show up, contribute, and be better.

If you’re new to the area or looking for ways to get more involved, I can’t recommend the Alliance and the Young Professionals enough. It’s one of the best decisions I’ve made and continues to be a valuable part of my journey in this community.
