Voices of the Alliance (10)

The Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance is proud to announce that we have officially earned the Accredited Economic Development Organization (AEDO) designation from the International Economic Development Council (IEDC). This accreditation is held by only 91 organizations worldwide, placing the Lynchburg region among an elite group demonstrating excellence, professionalism, and proven economic development success.

Achieving AEDO accreditation reinforces our commitment to advancing a thriving regional economy, supporting business growth, and strengthening the Lynchburg region’s position as a competitive and innovative destination.

Why AEDO Matters

This accreditation is more than recognition. It is a validation of strong systems, strategic leadership, and regional collaboration. Earning AEDO sends a powerful message to site selectors, investors, entrepreneurs, and companies evaluating new locations for expansion or relocation.

AEDO accreditation is a trusted indicator that our region is fully prepared to support business growth, workforce development, investment, and long-term success. This recognition positions the Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance and the Lynchburg Region as a whole as a serious contender on both the national and global stage.

A Team Effort

Earning this distinction required months of preparation, documentation, evaluation, and a comprehensive on-site review conducted this past summer. We extend our sincere gratitude to the many partners, business leaders, and community stakeholders who participated in the interview process and shared their insights with the IEDC review team. Your time, collaboration, and candor played a critical role in demonstrating the strength of our region and the depth of our partnership network.

Your voices helped shape the story of what makes the Lynchburg Region exceptional, not only in structure, but in spirit.

Looking Ahead

With AEDO accreditation now in place, the Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance will continue strengthening initiatives that support job creation, enhance workforce readiness, attract investment, and elevate our region’s competitive edge. This milestone is not an endpoint but a forward step — a renewed commitment to excellence and innovation.

We are honored to serve this community and excited for the opportunities this achievement will help unlock for years to come.
